September

Here's some pretty flowers in the garden.

Addi just loves to crawl around these days carrying different toys in her mouth.  She is so stinking cute!
Zack and Will were watching an unexpected fireworks show on September 15.  It looked like the fireworks were coming from the front of the Hansen's house in the field.  It lasted for about 10 minutes and the boys just loved it because it was so close and loud!
Here are all the kids in the back of Sally's van.  In the back it's Bentley, Zack, and Will and in the middle is Jane, Addi, and Cace.  We were heading up to meet Sally in Park City after a meeting with the credit union on Sept 14.  We spent the night and the boys got to go swim in the cold pool so it didn't last very long.  We had connecting rooms so all the kids were running back and forth and jumping on all the beds, just having a blast.  After we checked out of the hotel on Sept 15 we went to the outlet mall and bought a few cute Halloween shirts for the kids and then let them play on a little playground to get out some energy before the drive home.

Addi is sooo CUTE!!!!  She has 2 teeth now, on the bottom, and you can kind of see one in this picture.

Addi just loves to be moving and following the kids.  She is pulling herself up to standing and in this picture she was watching it rain out the window.

Weekend of Thunderstorms

Starting late Friday night into Saturday morning there were crazy awesome thunderstorms with a lot of rain and hail.  The storms woke Jaki up at home but surprisingly not the kids.  Kip was at work and was able to watch the whole night and said it was just beautiful, loud and strike after strike of lightning.  Then on Saturday afternoon the storms rolled through again.  At about 3 it started to rain and then about 3:30 the lightning and thunder were back.  The boys went out and watched the storm on the deck with Kip,  it hailed and covered everything with hail.  Even Addi was excited about the storm and fought going down for a nap.  That storm moved on at about 4 and we had a break until about 5 when another storm pushed its way through.  This time Jaki and the boys were on the deck until basically sideways rain forced them to come inside.  Once it calmed down some Zack decided to go back out by himself.  He wanted to wear a jacket and put on one of Kip's sweatshirts (pictured above).

Will was watching the storm from inside snuggling with his mass of stuff.

Here's the rain soaked deck while it was still coming down.
Here's puddles forming on the rocks because it was raining so hard.  After watching the news we found out that we got about 1 & 1/2 inches from these storms. These were beautiful and much needed storms.  There was flooding Saratoga Springs but not anywhere else at least as reported. Below are a couple videos showing just how hard it was raining and hailing.
